1. Thanks for sharing this. Jesse is so right–all of this anti-terrorism funding is a huge cash cow. What if you don’t have enough potential terrorists to go around? You have to fabricate some. How can people not see the outrageous potential for abuse and conflict of interest in hiding these efforts behind things like National Security Letters, and in outsourcing this work to private companies that have no legal oversight? Does anyone really think that these agencies and companies are going to speak up and say, wait a second, this person we are surveilling wouldn’t hurt a fly? As for citizen policing, it’s apparent that snitch culture is alive and well in this country. The snitches should enjoy their day because they are all future targets. Maybe their own kids will turn them in some day.
